TRI-COUNTY BRUSH-ON

DESCRIPTION
ALCO Tri-County Brush-On is a liquid blend of solvent, refined cutback asphalt and non-asbestos fillers that provide an elastic and durable coating for a superior dampproofing application. This material, however, will not stand up to hydrostatic pressure.

USE
Ideal for reducing dampness and moisture infiltration through foundation walls, footings, retaining walls, tanks, culverts and bridge abutments. Installation of protection board is recommended before backfilling to protect dampproofing application.

ADVANTAGES
»  Easy Application  »  Ready to Use  »  Fast and economical way to protect concrete and masonry foundations from moisture penetration

PREPARATION
The surface being covered must be clean, dry and free from oil, form release agents and any foreign matter such as dust, dirt, etc. Be sure all voids, cracks and rod holes are repaired with fabric membrane. This material will not span large cracks. Use ALCO Tri-County Trowel-On or ALCO 24/7 Flashing Cement and a fabric membrane where applicable. Any repairs should be made before application.

APPLICATION
Use a soft bristled brush and apply this material at a rate of 35 SF/Gal, depending on the surface being coated. Porous surfaces may decrease coverage. Under certain conditions, a cloth membrane can be used in a two coat application. The first coat can be brushed on at about 35 SF/Gal. Roll the fabric membrane into the first application, overlapping edges approximately 3 - 4 inches, pressing firmly into place. Apply a second coat of Tri-County Brush-On within two days.
COLD WEATHER APPLICATION: For best coverage results, material should be stored in a warm warehouse and applied at the temperature of 40° F. or above.
