FOUNDATION MASTIC
Rubberized

DESCRIPTION
ALCO Foundation Mastic Rubberized is a compound of high quality asphalt, rubberizing agents and select non-asbestos fillers. It is a heavy-duty elastomeric which cures to a tough, waterproof barrier.

USE
:  Efficient waterproofer  :  Provides excellent waterproofing efficiency  :  Provides excellent waterproofing protection to exterior surfaces below grade  :  Recommended for waterproofing below grade walls of poured concrete and/or masonry block construction  :  Provides superb corrosion protection for metal

ADVANTAGE
»  Ready to use from the container  »  Provides continuous, flexible film without cracks or pinholes  »  Excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry and steel  »  Resistant to lime, gypsum and ground and airborne chemicals

PREPARATION
Before coating, surface to be coated must be fully cured. Surface area must be smooth, clean, dry and free from oil, form release agents, loose scaling, rust, dirt, dust and debris. Be sure all voids, cracks and rod holes are repaired. This material will not span large cracks. Use ALCO 24/7 Flashing Cement and a fabric membrane where applicable. All repairs must be done before application.

APPLICATION
This material was developed for spray application, but may be applied with a brush. If spraying, use a Graco 40:1 pump or equivalent. When brushing, be sure to brush in one direction only to avoid air pockets and pin holes. For best results, apply when temperature is 40° - 90° F. If temperature is below 40° F, or humidity is above 80%, the material could take longer to cure. For optimum results, the recommended dry thickness is 40 - 60 mils.
Do not backfill for at least 24 hours after application. Backfill within 7 days. Backfill should be placed in a manner that will not rupture or damage the film or displace the coating or membranes.
NOTE: Installation of protection board is recommended before backfilling to protect waterproofing application. Call for recommendations and warranty information.
