ASPHALT ROOF PRIMER

DESCRIPTION
ALCO Asphalt Roof Primer is a rapid cure, general purpose primer used for the preparation of all types of surfaces prior to the application of hot or cold asphalt coatings. It is of thin consistency, which can be used over several types of surfaces.

USE
:  All purpose primary coat for concrete, masonry block, brick, gypsum and metal substrates which will later be coated with an asphaltic product  :  Rejuvenates old, dried out built-up roofs where penetration is required to revitalize the base surface

ADVANTAGES
»  Easy application - Brush or Spray  »  No heating or thinning  »  Rapid Cure  »  Ready to use from the container

PREPARATION
All surfaces to be primed or coated with Asphalt Primer must be clean, dry and free of debris, oil, grease and other foreign matter.

APPLICATION
Material can be used directly from the container by either brush or spray. Dried out built up roofs and masonry surfaces should be generously coated to obtain the maximum saturation so that an effective bond can and may be achieved for the covering material.
If the first coat becomes completely absorbed, apply a second coat. Drying time will depend on the mil thickness of application. If faster cure is needed, a mist coat is recommended.
NOTE: The thinner the application, the faster this material will cure. For best  results, this material should be used at temperatures above 40° F.
