PLASTIC ROOF CEMENT

DESCRIPTION
ALCO Plastic Roof Cement is made of quality refined asphalt, solvents and NON-asbestos fillers and is ready to use from the container. It is manufactured to a heavy bodied consistency for trowel application. Dries to an extremely tough but flexible waterproofing membrane layer. 

USE
:  Patching of cracks and breaks in roof surfaces  :  Flashing around skylights, chimneys, vents and gutters

PREPARATION
The surface being coated must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dirt, loose coatings or other foreign matter. 

APPLICATION
Apply Plastic Roof Cement with a standard trowel or putty knife. On small hairline cracks, fill the crack and feather down all edges. On larger cracks or voids, it may be necessary to use a fabric membrane with this material. Apply Plastic Roof Cement approximately 1/4" thick to repair area, then embed membrane directly into cement. Apply another coat of Plastic Roof Cement over membrane, feathering down all edges. Once repair has been completed, surface can be coated with ALCO's many quality roof coatings.
COLD WEATHER APPLICATION: For best coverage results, material should be stored in a warm warehouse and applied at the temperature of 40° F. or above. 
This product is formulated in three grades to accommodate seasonal temperature ranges. 
     Summer                   65 - 95  +  5 Degrees 
     Spring/Fall                40 - 65  +  5 Degrees 
     Winter                      24 - 40  +  5 Degrees

* Do not use on wood surfaces or roofs previously coated with Coal Tar  *  For professional use only  *  May not be compatible with some one-ply systems, such as EPDM. Check with the manufacturer of roof system before application

Respiratory: Use with adequate ventilation. Inhalation of high vapor concentration may cause headaches and/or dizziness. NIOSH/MSHA Respirators required of TLV is exceeded. 
Personal Protection: Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin, which may cause irritation. Wear chemical resistant gloves. Do not get in eyes; wear protective goggles. Wear protective clothing if needed. Do not take internally.
Fire Protection: Keep away from heat, open flame or any sources of ignition.  
First Aid: Eye Contact - Rinse immediately with water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Skin Contact - Wash with soap and water. Inhalation - Remove individual to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration; get emergency medical attention and keep victim warm.  Ingestion - Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.
Waste Disposal: Seal container when not in use. Empty containers must be disposed in an approved landfill in accordance with local, state and Federal regulations.

WARRANTY
We warrant our materials to be of good quality and will replace materials found defective, providing, however, that the buyer shall examine the materials when received and promptly notify us of any defects before the materials are used or incorporated into a structure for which they are intended. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, this warranty shall extend only to comply with specifications of materials manufactured by and published by ALCO-NVC Inc., and made available to the buyer at request. We cannot warrant nor in any way guarantee particular methods, use or applications, nor can we warrant that the materials will be suitable for any intended use. This warranty is in lieu of all others expressed or implied and may not be extended by representatives, written sales or information or drawings. Nor do our distributors or salesmen or any other representatives of distributors or of this  company have any authority to extend any guarantee beyond that outlined above or to waive the limitations of the seller's liability.
