DESCRIPTION
ALCO Acrylic Base Coat -
Gray is uniquely formulated by a cross linking of acrylic polymers for
enhanced adhesion.
USE
: Provides outstanding adhesion over
weathered EPDM and CSPE-Hypalon™ and other single-ply membranes.
PREPARATION
Be sure that existing roof membrane system,
including insulation and deck, are in sound condition. Surface must be
power washed to remove all dust, dirt and debris.
NOTE: #218CP EPDM Bonding Agent must be used on all EPDM surfaces
prior to power washing.
Important: Where ponding water conditions persist beyond 48 hours,
roof drains or other corrective measures must be installed to eliminate
water build-up.
APPLICATION
Apply with a soft brush,
medium nap roller or airless spray equipment. The ALCO White Elastomeric
Roof System should be applied in a two-coat application: ALCO #218GBC Base
Coat with ALCO MERIC White Elastomeric (refer to Product Data Sheet 218E)
applied at a minimum of 24 hours after the base coat application. This
product has excellent suspension and requires minimum stirring. May be
applied over damp, not wet, surfaces. DO NOT THIN.
