ELASTOMERIC MB 
Base Coat

DESCRIPTION
ALCO Elastomeric MB Base Coat is formulated using 100% Acrylic Polymers specially designed for use as a base coat for Modified Bitumen and asphalt surfaces, providing outstanding adhesion prior to installing ALCO MERIC #218 White Elastomeric Roof Coating. ALCO #218MB provides excellent waterproofing capabilities. 
 
USE
:  Provides elastic, weatherproofing barrier over BUR, Modified Bitumen, granular cap sheets and other approved surfaces 

PREPARATION
Surface must be power washed to remove dirt, loose coating, excessive chalk and other foreign matter, which could prevent proper adhesion. Surface must be completely dry prior to coating. 
NOTE: Where ponding water condition persists beyond 48 hours, roof drains or other corrective measures should be done to eliminate water build up prior to coating the roof. 

APPLICATION
Apply with soft brush (avoid excessive brushing), roller or airless spray. #218MB is to be applied as a base coat prior to applying ALCO MERIC #218E (refer to Product Data Sheet #218E). Allow Elastomeric MB 24 hours to dry prior to applying ALCO MERIC White Elastomeric. This product requires minimal stirring. DO NOT THIN.

LIMITATIONS

Personal Protection: Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin, which may cause irritation. Wear chemical resistant gloves. Do not get in eyes; wear protective goggles or shield. Wear protective clothing if needed. Vapor may aggravate tissue in nasal and respiratory passage. If mists are generated, wear NIOSH approved particulate respirator.

Fire Protection: Non-Flammable  
First Aid: Eye Contact - Rinse immediately with water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. Skin Contact - Wash with a waterless hand cleaner and/or soap and water. Ingestion Get medical attention immediately. 
Waste Disposal: Seal container when not in use. Empty containers must be disposed in an approved landfill in accordance with local, state and Federal regulations.
