SBS MODIFIED BITUMEN ADHESIVE
Trowel Grade

DESCRIPTION
ALCO SBS Modified Bitumen Adhesive Trowel Grade is composed of a highly modified polymer roof mastic with a trowel consistency. 269T contains no asbestos and is designed to adhere SBS membrane to vertical surfaces.

USE
:  Cold Process SBS Roof Membrane System  :  Flashing details  :  Parapet wall applications

ADVANTAGES
»  Easy Application  »  Ready to use from the container  »  Excellent elastic mastic with superior adhesion to SBS roofing membrane and many common roof surfaces  »  High resistance to water and weathering  »  Adheres to masonry, steel and many other surfaces  »  Spreads to smooth, even consistency even in high temperatures and adheres without sagging

PREPARATION

Surface must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dirt, debris and any foreign matter that will interfere with proper adhesion. All repairs must be done before application. On small hairline cracks, fill the crack and feather down all edges. On larger cracks or voids, it may be necessary to imbed a membrane cloth into this material then apply another coat over entire area.

APPLICATION
Apply 269T using a standard trowel or putty knife, leaving no uncoated "pockets".
PARAPET WALLS: Apply 269T at approximately 1/4" thickness. Cut SBS membrane into usable lengths and press membrane into place. The use of a termination bar mechanically fastened and caulked is recommended.
OTHER ROOFING APPLICATIONS: Apply material at approximately 1/8" thickness and embed membrane into adhesive
COLD WEATHER APPLICATION: For ease of application, keep material at room temperature before use.
