DESCRIPTION
ALCO SHIELD HT Ice and
Water Protector is designed to be used under standing seam metal roofing,
metal shingles and metal roof panels.
USE
ALCO SHIELD HT is recommended for use under metal roof
panels or granular surface membranes.

PREPARATION
Roof must be swept clean of all dirt and debris. The
roof deck must be smooth and dry prior to application. Always check the
weather to ensure no rain is in the forecast and the temperature is above
40° F.
WHEN RE-ROOFING: Shingles, metal roof, felts, all nails, fasteners and
debris must be removed and deck must be swept and cleaned. Replace deck as
needed.
APPLICATION
In full surface application under metal roof
decking, begin at the eaves, applying product from the low point to the
high point of the roof. The rolls should be applied running horizontally.
The selvage edge must be nailed every 18" covering nails by
overlapping with the next sheet. Adequate ventilation should always be
considered. Apply according to metal roof manufacturer's
specifications.
