DESCRIPTION
ALCO Fiber Expansion
Joint is composed of cellular fibers securely bonded together and
uniformly saturated with asphalt to increase its longevity. It is
non-extruding, resilient and when compressed to half its thickness,
offers a minimum recovery of 70%.
USE
: Multi-purpose joint filler ideally suited for
joints in sidewalks, driveways, streets, airport runways, highways,
flatwork, etc. : Ideally suited to give concrete ample room to
expand and contract without creating damaging stresses.

APPLICATION
Fiber Expansion Joint filler is positioned
against the forms, at interrupting objects or columns, and against
abutting structures prior to the placement of concrete. The expansion
joint should be installed 1/2" below the concrete surface. Thinner
joints of 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" spaced at frequent intervals
offer greater control than thicker joints spaced at greater
intervals.
For maximum protection from water infiltration, weathering and to assure
proper function, the joint should be sealed with a suitable sealer.
NOTE: For ease in sealing Fiber Expansion Joint, Snap Cap can be used to
give a uniform, debris free joint of proper configuration.

shall examine the materials when received and promptly notify us of any
defects before the materials are used or incorporated into a structure for
