DESCRIPTION
Asphalt Expansion Joint
is composed of asphalt, vegetable fibers and mineral fillers formed under
heat and pressure between two asphalt saturated felt liners. It is
economical, waterproof, permanent, flexible and self-sealing.
USE
: Ideal for joints in sidewalks, driveways,
streets, single and multi-level floor slabs : Particularly
suited to give concrete ample room to expand and contract without creating
damaging stresses

APPLICATION
Asphalt Expansion Joint should be installed at
intervals in concrete paving or slabs. Position against forms, at
interrupting objects or columns, and against abutting structures prior to
placement of concrete. Because of its self-sealing qualities, there is no
requirement for a sealing compound. However, expansion joint should be set
1/4" below the surface of the slab to ensure that material will not
extrude under compression.
NOTE: Thinner joints of 1/4". 3/8", or 1/2" spaced at
frequent intervals offer greater control than thicker joints spaced at
greater intervals.

shall examine the materials when received and promptly notify us of any
defects before the materials are used or incorporated into a structure for
which they are intended. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, this

manufactured by and published by ALCO-NVC Inc., and made available to the
buyer at request. We cannot warrant nor in any way guarantee particular
methods, use or applications, nor can we warrant that the materials will
be suitable for any intended use. This warranty is in lieu of all others
expressed or implied and may not be extended by representatives, written
sales or information or drawings. Nor do our distributors or salesmen or
